Virginia Department of Transportation is closing Route 7 Business or East Main Street in Clarke County Monday at 8:15a.m. until 5:00p.m.
The route will be closed from Route 615 or Boom Road to Route 700 or Jack Enders Boulevard. Both east and westbound lanes will be shut down.
There are detours in place. Eastbound traffic is asked to use Route 7 Business to Route 340 north or North Buckmarsh Road, to Route 7 east or Harry Byrd Highway to Route 7 Business. Westbound traffic will use Route 7 Business to Route 7 west or Harry Byrd Highway to Route 340 south or North Buckmarsh Road to Route 7 Business.
The reason for the closure is for railroad crossing repairs.
