Trey Kirkland is a workhorse at everything he does, a 4.0 student by day and one of valley’s best wrestlers by night, this Warren County Wildcat is a coaches dream come true. "A coach could leave the room and assign something to do and Trey would do it." notes Warren County assistant coach Adam Orndorff. "and as a coach you have no doubt it would be done to the best of his ability."
Earlier this year, Trey broke the Warren County record for career wins with 127, but despite all the accolades, he's still hungry to prove himself on the high school level.
"Breaking records is nice and it made me happy. But it means nothing if I don't perform well this weekend and win a state title." says the UNC-Pembroke bound senior. Congratulations to Trey Kirkland of the Warren County Wildcats for being named TV3 Winchester's Student Athlete of the Week.
