Danielle Moyer enjoys listening to all genres of music...
"I have some Red Hot Chili Peppers to Michael Buble to country. I mean I've got everything." Says Moyer.
One song Danielle Moyer probably doesn't have in her ipod is Time Is On My Side by the Rolling Stones, because it seems she is always fighting the clock...
"I always get up just in time to have a shower, throw some clothes on and leave." Says Moyer.
With a full plate of school work and sports Danielle needs all the sleep she can get, but she says she doesn't get much. A four sport athlete, Moyer has participated in soccer, basketball, cross country and track.
"I hate picking over the other because I enjoy each sport so much. But I would have to say I'm most passionate about soccer. I first started to play when I was little and I've just stuck with it through these years. I'm just really passionate about it." Says Moyer.
Her passion is evident on and off the pitch. Moyer lives and breaths the game and is making history as we speak. She has scored over one hundred career goals and will likely score many more before her senior year is over. Moyer says numbers aren't something she focuses on.
"Coaches were the ones, last year, telling me, you do realize your at ninety seven, you almost have one hundred. It's not something I think about everyday, I just go out there and play. If I have an open shot, I score. If not I parse it off to my team mate who's got a better shot." Says Moyer.
And her coach says that unselfish mentality has been the key to her success, as well as the success of her Clarke County team.
"She's come into as a leader. She's the captain and she leads by example. She's a very quite leader on the field, she does what needs to be done and she expects everyone to follow in behind her. And they do because she expects it." Says Clarke County High School Women's Head Soccer Coach, Laurie Harrell.
With about two months of school left, Danielle know her time at Clarke County is almost over. But she intends on enjoying the ride before attending UVA next fall.
"I am excited. I enjoy getting dolled up every once in a while. Get out of the sweaty uniforms and into an elegant dress." Says Moyer.
