Nicole Daily worked hard to get her beautiful smile, but hard work is something she's used to... A stand out softball player and student, Nicole managers to balance school work and a demanding softball schedule with relative ease.
"It's not hard for me to do it. I've always been able to do it quite well because I had to learn how to do that early on because of traveling and having practice two or three days a week." says Daily.
Daily not only plays for Millbrook but also for Loudoun County's travel team, and that experience has helped her to earn a scholarship to play at division one Radford University, improve her skills, and taught her to become a leader.
"She leads on the field and off the field. She doesn't necessarily yell and scream and holler and rant and rave. But she's always giving everything she's got on the field. She makes sure people do what they need to do. She makes other people better." Says Millbrook Head Softball Coach, Michelle Long.
Nicole's friends and teams mates say she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. But put her on a softball field and she can get down right mean. Our own Mike Giangreco stepped up to the plate, to see if he could get a hit off her, and after just four pitches. Two strikes, a ball and finally the third strike, Mike agreed that Nicole is a phenomenal pitcher.
"I'm doing pre-dental, as I'm part of the biology program, so I want to go to dental school." Says Daily.
This summer Nicole will be interning at a local dentist office to gain some experience. Her coach says, she can already see her future panning out.
"She is always smiling, regardless of what's going on. She likes to be positive about things. She has known for a long time what she wants to do and she's got her mind set. When she sets her mind on something, she gets it done. So in the next eight to ten years, I expect to see, Nicole Daily DDS hanging from somewhere." Says Coach Long.
