There's a lot of history being made at Skyline High School in Front Royal this year, and from the Gridiron to the Hardwood, Nate Jackson has been in the middle of it all. It's fitting then that Jackson is Skyline's first ever Student Athlete of the Week.
" You don't get home until 8:30, but it's something you have to do." says Jackson of his schoolwork. "Because I'm looking forward to playing sports in college".

The transition from football to basketball would be tough for most people, but Jackson has to go from being a star in the fall to filling in as a reserve player for the Hawks hoops team. Despite his decreased playing time, Jackson still finds a way to be a leader.
"He really is a role model for younger kids" says Skyline Basketball coach Sonny Dyke. "You can point to him and say this is what you have to do."
