Originally from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, she made the move to D.C. to pursue a master’s degree at American University. After completing her degree in Journalism and Public Affairs she worked as a news assistant at CNN’s D.C. Bureau. While there she worked on CNN’s Situation Room and was part of the election series Broken Government. She received her bachelor’s degree at Saint Vincent College in English and Communication. During that time she completed two news internships at WJAC-TV and KDKA. No stranger to life in the country, Katie is excited to get to know a little more about the Shenandoah Valley. When she’s not busy at work, Katie enjoys reading, writing, shopping, and spending time with her family back in PA.
