No stranger to the valley, Jenny Brockwell comes to Winchester from the friendly city of Harrisonburg, VA.
Since growing up in the small town of Lawrenceville, VA (one stoplight!), Jenny’s passion has always been serving the community. This passion led her to study political science at James Madison University, where she held various internships with the city of Harrisonburg. Her work experience has given her a thorough knowledge of how a community works, from economic development, public works, city council, city planning, downtown revitalization, and most recently tourism, where she served as marketing and tourism coordinator.
Journalism has always been an interest, which led her to a part-time job as a production assistant on WHSV’s Daybreak. Realizing that journalism was where she really wanted to be, Jenny secured an internship with the station and wrote contributing feature stories for the Daily News Record.
When she's not working, Jenny likes to spend time with friends and family, read, cook and bake. She is a board member of First Night Winchester, and is involved with Winchester's Latest Rotary, the Chamber of Commerce's Young Professionals Group, and the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival.
