    Denise Roberts Chandler began her broadcasting career in 1977 at WINK-TV in Ft. Myers, Florida. During her career Denise has worked at WTNH-TV, New Haven, CT, CNN|CNN Headline News, Atlanta, GA, WGCL-TV, Atlanta, GA, WPBA-TV, Atlanta, GA, and WAAY-TV, Huntsville, AL. Denise has covered a myriad of major news stories including the Challenger shuttle disaster, 5 major hurricanes, Olympic Park bombing, Birmingham Church bombing trial, and various political conventions and presidential campaigns. One of the most memorable moments of Denise’s career is an interview with the late Rosa Parks. Denise holds a degree in music from FAMU in Tallahassee, FL. Denise lives in Hagerstown, MD with her husband Dr. Joseph C. Chandler Jr. Denise is the mother of two sons and “Nana” to a granddaughter and grandson. Denise is active in community based organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Lions Club, and NAACP.
