Maria Satira joined the TV3 Winchester team in May 2012.

Maria is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and attended Robert Morris University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in TV/Video Production and Journalism. While in college, she was a sister of Delta Zeta sorority, founder of the RMU Italian-American club and served on various University committees.

She interned at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh and WWAY-TV3 in Wilmington, North Carolina. In addition to internships, Maria won several national and local journalism awards.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog. She also enjoys meeting new people, cooking and reading.

Maria enjoys living in the Shenandoah Valley and getting involved in her community! She volunteers at her church and is a member of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber's Next Generation Professionals, Order Sons of Italy in America (Frances Cabrini Lodge #2723), and the Delta Zeta Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter.
