Troy Gordon only played two high school games at quarterback before this season, but he's been a key on both sides of the ball helping Strasburg to a 5-0 start.
Gordon also has excelled on defense and as a returner on special teams.
Strasburg head coach Mark Roller says the goal was to get the ball in his hands more so he can make plays for the offense.
Gordon had a key rushing touchdown in the Rams' 20-13 win in the Bull Run District opener against Clarke County.
Strasburg hosts William Monroe Friday at 7:30.
