We know the Redskins haven't lived up to expectations this season. But what do you do when you're a company that has a weekly promotion tied directly to the success of the 'Skins?
If you're Papa John's you throw out the rule book entirely.
The way it usually works is for every touchdown the 'Skins score on Sunday, you get one free topping on a pizza all day Monday. If the Redskins go on to win that game, the number of toppings is doubled.
So if the Redskins score five touchdowns and win, you get ten free toppings.
But because touchdowns have been hard to come by this year, Papa John's said that because Washington running back Ryan Torain set a franchise record for first half rushing yards yesterday, you can call Monday and get a pie with TEN free toppings.
We went to the Papa John's in Winchester to see one of these ten topping behemoths made in person.
