The Winchester Royals compiled a 23-9 record before the all-star break and hold a commanding seven-game lead in the Valley League North Division.
Winchester has used a strong combination of pitching, hitting and defense to contribute to the great start.
The Royals start the second half Wednesday on the road at Staunton.
