The new Nationals' ball park has been a long time coming...after playing at RFK the last 2 seasons Nats fans were ready for a change, and outside the stadium you could tell. "It's absolutely beautiful" said Kirk McCormick, a Nationals fan. "RFK wasn't a dump but it certainly wasn't where a stadium needed to be for the nats"
The anticipation outside the ball park led to a lot of hype... but once inside... the Stadium did not disappoint.
"Today when I came in it was exciting" noted Nats fan Anita Wharton from the main concourse. "Everyone was so happy it's wonderful, the field is absolutely gorgeous."

"The fans alone, you gotta love that type of situation" said Nationals outfielder Elijah Dukes. "It's great to meet the president it gets your adrenaline flowing I was ready to play."
