- Posted By: Evelyn T.: Wishing you happines, faith, and love and friendship. This holiday season. I am so proud of you all . I know how hard this is on you and your family. My dad was in the Army in Korea, my husband served in the Airforce for 20 years from Vietnam to Desert Storm. My daughter and son were in the Army, between Desert Storm and 9-11. They are the first generation not to have been in a war in 12 genertions we have been in America. We understand how hard it is and we have tried to support your family's. We never give up hope. My mother was told to forget my dad, go on with her life and even his family told her she should date again. Everyone tried to convince her my dad was dead in Korea, When he was MIA . He was a prisoner of war for 3 years in Korea, Had stood in a rice paddy all night during a battle. And when taken prisoner, they had to chop the ice around his feet to get him out. he lost all his toes. But he never regreted severing and he also loves you all and supports you . Write me lov

I can't even begin to comprehend how difficult it may be to be away but everyday I think about all the bravery that you hold and it makes me proud of our country. Thank you for all that you give. It will never be forgotten." In the words of one of my best friends Robert Leonard, whom actually was the inspiration for this entire forum "tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito." ---Yield not to misfortunes, but advance all the more boldly against them.
