Rachel Fincham Taylor, 78, of Winchester, died Friday, June 29, 2012 in Winchester. She was born July 27, 1933 in Frederick County, the daughter of Raymond and Fenton Della Jenkins Fincham. Mrs. Taylor was a James Wood High School graduate and worked as a sales clerk at McCrory’s Store. She operated a child care business in her home for many years and was a member of Welltown United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Charles Randall “Randy” Taylor and Raymond Boyd “Rocky” Taylor and his wife Tammy all of Stephens City; three grandsons, Chad Randall Taylor of Inwood, WV, Shane Robert Taylor of Dallas, TX and Chase Ryan Taylor of Stephens City; two sisters, Pauline A. Keckley and Beatrice E. Fincham both of Winchester; a brother, Shelton T. Fincham of Berryville and a number of nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Florine Lee Clark and Colleen F. Unger and a brother, R. Kelcy Fincham, all preceded her in death. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Welltown United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1444 Welltown Road, Clear Brook with Rev. Marc Roberson officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Fraizer, Joe Smith, Shane Schulze and J.C. Henkel. Friends will be received on Monday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Phelps Funeral Chapel, 311 Hope Drive, Winchester.
