Charles “Chuck” C. Miller, 77, of Winchester, VA passed away on June 28, 2012 after a year long courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 26, 1935, in Steubenville, OH, the only child of Charles F. and Helen T. Miller. He served his country for 8 years during the Korean War in the US Air Force and was Honorably Discharged as Staff Sgt. He was a graduate of Fenn College, in Cleveland, OH, and worked in Manufacturing Engineering and Plant Management until his retirement in 2002. He was an avid golfer and a member of Bowling Green Country Club where he had a “hole-in-one” at age 68 and was the Super Senior Golf Champion there for several years. Chuck and his wife, Sarah, made their winter home in Bradenton, FL for the past 10 years where he was also a member of River Run Golf Club, having a “hole-in-one” there at age 72. Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Sarah I. Miller, 3 daughters, Gwendolyn L. Conrad, Nanette L. Sipe, and Jeanne I. Mezzatesta, and 2 grandchildren, Samuel Conrad and Sophia Mezzatesta, all whom he dearly loved. He also leaves behind his little Maltese “Fonzy”, his loyal companion and friend. At his request, there will be no viewing and all services and entombment will be private.
