A Linden woman is asking automakers to recall Jeep Grand Cherokees after she witnessed people die in the vehicles.
Jenelle Embrey has started an online petition after doing research and finding out nearly 300 people have died in the jeeps made between 1993 and 2004.
The petition is addressed to the U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood.
She says she will present her petition to Chrysler once it reaches 100,000 signatures.
