RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Fire officials say a boy is dead after being pulled from a house fire in Chesterfield County that also injured his mother and a firefighter.
Fire crews were called to the home at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
Fire spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore says firefighters did an interior search and pulled the child from the home. The child, whose age wasn't immediately released, was taken to a hospital where he died.
Elmore says the boy's mother and a firefighter both suffered injuries that were not life threatening.
