Clarke County Public Schools are hosting a winter storm poetry contest.
Schools' Superintendent Mike Murphy says a lot of learning time is being lost to snow and anytime he can involve students in learning at home or school it's a wonderful opportunity.
School staff members and the community are also invited to submit their poems.
E-mail your poems to Katrina Robinson at robinsonk@clarke.k12.va.us. Various service clubs will judge the best entries.
