Here are the forecasts for this weekend's race activities:
NASCAR Nationwide Series - Daytona on Friday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Look for typical Florida weather this weekend in Daytona. Skies will be sunny, then some clouds will build in during the afternoon, and there's a 30% of a couple storms. The afternoon high will be around 93 on Friday. The temperature at the green flag will be around 85 degrees.
NASCAR Sprint Cup - Daytona on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT. It will be warm and sunny on Friday with some passing clouds for qualifying. In typical Florida fashion, there is a 30% chance of thunderstorms. The qualifying temp will be around 90 degrees. For the race on Saturday, expect the same thing. The afternoon temp up around 92, chance of a few storms. At race time, it will be around 85 degrees.
IZOD IndyCar Series - Toronto on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET right here on TV3 (ABC). Qualifying is on Saturday, and there is a 40% chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. Otherwise it will be partly cloudy with a temperature around 85 degrees. Sunday will be nicer for the race with a mix of sun and clouds and a bit more comfortable. the temperature at race time will be around 79 degrees.
American Le Mans Series - Lime Rock on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. ET on ESPN 3. The warm weather will work its way up to Lime Rock this weekend. It will be warm and humid on Friday for qualifying with an afternoon temp in the lower 90s under a mostly sunny sky. For the race on Saturday, look for the sky to turn partly cloudy. There is a 30% chance of thundershowers. The temperature at the start of the race will be around 91 degrees.
