Hello Everyone! Happy 2012! I hope you all had a nice Holiday season. I'm excited to be back with the first forecast of the 2012 race season. It's the 50th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona! Florida is the place to be this weekend. Activities get started today (Thursday), and the temperature will be warm around 80 degrees. There's only a slight chance of a passing afternoon shower. The overnight will feature increasing clouds and a slight chance of showers, but it stays mild with a low in the mid 60s. On Friday a cold front will push through, providing the best chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm. Because of the front, look for more clouds than sun and a high temperature around 77 degrees. Chance of rain is 60%. As skies clear out Friday night, it will allow the temperature to turn a little cooler, dropping to the lower 50s. Saturday looks gorgeous under a mostly sunny sky and an afternoon high in the lower 70s. The race starts at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. As the sun sets Saturday night, get ready for some chilly conditions. At 9 p.m. the temp will be near 60, mid 50s through the early morning, and near 50 at sunrise. It will be another beautiful day on Sunday with sunshine and the temp rising back into the lower 70s for the finish of the race. See you soon with the return of NASCAR season!
