Adam Dunn: To trade or not to trade, the latest on the sluggers' future

The trade winds are blowing stronger as Saturday's deadline moves closer and the speculation surrounding Washington Nationals' slugger Adam Dunn continues to swirl.

One minute it seems like general manager Mike Rizzo is strongly against a trade and the next minute Dunn's departure looks imminent.

Rizzo is leaning toward making a deal to re-sign Dunn, but told his agent that it would be on the Nationals terms and they wouldn't submit to a time-table.

However, if the right offer presents itself, Rizzo might pull the trigger on a trade.

This week members of the Nats scouting staff are meeting in DC and will travel the county looking at potential trade prospects that might be exchanged for Dunn or closer Matt Capps.

The Chicago White Sox were interested in acquiring Dunn but Mark Giangreco of wls in chicago says the sox aren't willing to part with Gordon Beckham or Daniel Hudson.
