James Wood plans to get back to basics Friday night in their home opener against Musselman.
The Colonels were blown out last week by Loudoun Valley, 52-19.
James Wood lost several key players to injury in that game. To counteract the bumps and bruises, the Colonels expect to play younger players Friday against the Applemen.
The plan for head coach Mike Bolin is to simplify the game plan for his team.
