James Wood 2012 High School Football Season Preview

The Colonels lost 44-6 last year in the first round of the playoffs to Powhatan. They finished with a 4-7 record.

James Wood will have to replace all four starting linebackers from last year's team.

They do, however, return four starters along the offensive line, including center Erik Bearer.

As for the ground game, seniors Dallas Corbin and Brady Skillman will get a lot of the looks at the running back position.

Head Coach Mike Bolin says despite the team's record last year, they were ahead in the second half in five of their losses. If they can play consistent, Bolin says, that record will improve.
