Bound For South Alabama, Ross Metheny Looks Back on UVA Career

Metheny, a former star at Sherando, is transferring from UVA to the University of South Alabama.

Metheny is wrapping up his classes at UVA this week and will graduate from the school with a degree in sociology.

At South Alabama, Metheny will work toward a masters degree. Metheny will be able to play for the Jaguars immediately as a result of his masters program not being offered at Virginia.

Metheny competed for the starting job with the Cavaliers last summer before losing out to fellow junior Michael Rocco.

South Alabama is currently in the process of becoming a full-time FBS program. This is the final year of their transition phase and the Jaguars will be an FBS team in 2013.
