Front Royal Honored For Community Service Work

A Front Royal resident has been honored with the Robert E. Miller community service award.

Alan Wimer has done almost every act of community service you can think of.

The rotary club of Front Royal gives this award in memory of 75 year member, Bob Miller.

The award is for someone who spends a lot of time giving back to the community.

"I feel like I owe this community a debt for what they gave me as a youth growing up. And it's a fun kind of debt I enjoy participating." Wimer said.

He says he was completely surprised when he heard he was the winner, and he's extremely humbled by it.
