MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- Three people are dead after a car registered in Virginia went into an interstate median and hit a tree in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.
The Herald-Mail says the accident occurred at 11:53 p.m. Wednesday about 3 miles south of Martinsburg.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says the impact of the crash severed the car. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims haven't been identified, pending notification of relatives.
