UPDATE: Monday, 4:30 p.m.
Virginia State Police have identified the pedestrian killed in a crash on Route 522 Sunday night.
State police say 42-year-old Garry Wayne Baker of Winchester was walking along 522 and was hit by a station wagon. He died at the scene.
The driver of that car was was 35-year-old Catherine Terzian from Winchester.
It happened last night on route 522 north at near the Red Cross Building in Winchester.
The crash is still under investigation.

UPDATE: Monday, 9:45 a.m.
Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash.
It happened in Frederick County on Route 522 Northbound at 7:28 p.m. on Sunday, February 10th.
Sergeant F.L. Tyler says it involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Tyler says the male pedestrian died at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.
The names of the people involved in this incident are not being released pending investigation and notification of next if kin.

UPDATE: Sunday, 8:10 p.m.
Police have not confirmed but a TV3 reporter and multiple witnesses say a person appears to have been struck and killed by a vehicle near Fortress Drive north of Winchester.
Sergeant F.L. Tyler with the Virginia State Police says troopers are investigating a "serious pedestrian accident" there.

Route 522 north is shut down just outside of Winchester due to an accident.
It's happening near Fortress Drive in the area of Sunnyside.
Virginia State Police are on scene investigating.
