Tuesday night, Hagerstown City Counselors gave preliminary approval to get the money ready to pay for the prep work for a new stadium for the Suns.

The City of Hagerstown would spend more than $4 million on this part of the plan. That money would be used to buy the property for a new stadium, the design of a new stadium and site preparation.

As of right now, neither the City of Hagerstown nor the City of Winchester has signed a lease with the suns.
