A warm day in January brings a lot of people outdoors. Jim Barnett Park was filled with people Sunday.
"It's a beautiful day, and it's January. So, how often do you get to take the kids out and play in January?" asked Maren Spray.
It's not often you see people flooding Jim Barnett Park. It seemed like everyone wanted to embrace the short taste of spring in the middle of winter.
"It's really nice. I can't believe this because it's winter right now," said eight-year-old Aurora Padillah.
"It's a nice day and we don't have many days like this left I'm sure. Everybody is enjoying the weather with their children and just having a good time with the kids," said Frank Sisk.
"It feels awesome, it feels like it's already summer. There is still snow on the ground but it doesn't feel like winter," said Anne Crocker.
The kids got a chance to get off of the couch and play some of their favorite things while their parents were free to relax, or join in on the fun.
"We usually play tag, or hide and go seek, or we play teacher. It's really fun to play with my friends," said Aryiana Maxwell.
"We're out here all of the time. We take her swinging and down the slides. We're outdoor people," said Justin Hertzleo.
"I'm just running around. We just finished a round of golf and I climbed the hill over there," said Crocker.
Saphire Segar-Young said it seems like summer again, and now she can't wait for the real thing. "You could probably go to the pool and the beach. It feels like you should."
Whether you enjoy running, walking, taking a trip down the slide or just relaxing, this weather had everybody smiling.
