UPDATE from Associated Press:

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia State Police say seven people have been injured in a collision between a commercial passenger bus and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 in Rockingham County.

State police say in a news release that five passengers on the bus and both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries. They have been taken to a local hospital.

The tractor-trailer and the bus collided in the northbound lanes and went into the median. The tractor-trailer's cab overturned but the bus remained upright.

The accident occurred around 4 a.m. Tuesday at mile marker 244. The bus was carrying 42 passengers.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says both the northbound and southbound lanes are closed at mile marker 243 in Harrisonburg. Detours have been set up.

State police say the accident is under investigation.

If you're heading northbound on I-81, take Exit 243. If you're heading southbound, take Exit 245.

Sergeant Tyler with State Police reports that six people were transported to Rockingham Memorial Hospital with injuries.

He says there are no fatalities.

State Police say all lanes, southbound and northbound, are still closed.

We're getting reports of a a tractor trailer and a tour bus accident on I-81 North near Mile Marker 241.

State Police say they're on the scene of the accident and the Interstate is blocked.

WHSV in Harrisonburg reports that the bus is on its side with possible injuries and the tractor trailer is also on its side with diesel fuel leaking.

WHSV also reports that the bus is made for 56 people, but it is unclear how many people are on the bus.
