Thanksgiving Dinner For Veterans

Taking care of our veterans is a top priority for people in the Northern Valley and the outpouring of support came in the form of a feast!

To give back and show thanks to those who served for our country, the Winchester Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2123 served Thanksgiving dinner to veterans in our community.

More than 20 veterans came to Post 2123, where the Lady Auxiliary put together a nice Thanksgiving dinner plate for them.

"Oh I loved it, I went for seconds, I was working on thirds but I couldn't find no room down there," said veteran Jack Cleveland, Jr. "So you know I was alright."

The veterans were eating as much as they could and enjoying some football as well at the bar this thanksgiving.

It's a time for them to feel appreciated for what they did to serve our country.

Lady Auxiliary president, Theressa Russell, says they were expecting at least 100 veterans to show up.

All the food that is left over will be given out on Friday when they have their dinner specials.
