Stuff-A-Truck for Hurricane Sandy Victims

Our communities are stepping up to lend a helping hand.

A local group is doing something pretty amazing for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. This is a true community effort. They're stuffing a 53-foot tractor-trailer with supplies for victims in New Jersey.

Warren County Public Schools, local businesses and churches are all getting involved.

They're collecting just about as much as they can to donate to the people who lost everything.

A friend donated a driver and truck and they're asking the community for help to fill it up.

"I would like to think that if we'd have been hit as hard as they were, that somebody would do it for us. And we need to help our fellow countrymen. We need to reach out and make sure that they're ok. We help a lot of other countries in their times of need and we need to show home help," said organizer, Shannon Nelson.

They're hoping the community works together to help out an area in need.

"I just couldn't even begin to fathom, what these people have been going through. To lose everything they've had and I'd just like to help out and get the community together and hope that we all can help them," said organizer, Hannah Barb.

They have volunteers at the fire house every day until Saturday, Nov. 17. They'll be at the Front Royal Fire House on Commerce Ave. on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekdays from noon to 6 p.m.

If you can't make it to Front Royal, here are other donation drop-offs:
