Sherando High School senior Jordan Teter tells TV3, "Veterans and honoring them is very important to me. I've had a lot of veterans in my life who have mentored me and helped me through hard time I've had in life and I've always been trying to pay back as much as I can of what they've given to me."
The students say they want to give veterans the best welcome home they've ever had.
Morgan Craig, who is a senior at James Wood High School says, "Red Bud Elementary School is going to have ... their students, after the veterans leave, waving them goodbye so a big part to make them feel appreciated is that children and students are really learning about it and thanking them."
All veterans are invited.
The ceremony is being held at Millbrook High School on Friday, November 9th at 8:30 am.
