Leaders at the Shenandoah County School District say they've learned a lot from the school safety forums they've had over the last couple of weeks.
The superintendent says now they know what's important to parents and what's important to staff.
He thinks this is going to help them come up with a new plan which will address having resource officers at the schools and securing the buildings.
"So that people just can not come in any time they please. Even though we have all of our doors locked, we still have had our front doors unlocked. I think we'll have to find a way to keep our front doors and also be able to look at what's going on throughout the other doors in our building," said Dr. Keith Rowland.
The last forum was Tuesday at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School.
