Local schools are closing in advance of the storm.

"Son" Shine Learning Center in Winchester will be closed Monday, October 29th.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, all Lord Fairfax Community College locations will be closed on Monday, October 29th.

Clarke County Public Schools will be closed Monday, October 29th.

Winchester Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, October 29th, due to inclement weather

Shenandoah County Public Schools will be closed Monday, October 29th, 2012 due to severe weather. All 12-month employees will follow Code 5 and report on schedule.

The Independent School of Winchester will be closed Monday, October 29th, 2012.

Wakefield Country Day School in Rappahannock County closed Monday.

Frederick County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, October 29, 2012.

Warren County Public Schools will be closed Monday, October 29, 2012. Code Blue is in effect for employees.

Shenandoah University is closed Monday. Classes will be made up on Saturday, November 3rd.
