Remembering Everyone Deployed

Updated: Fri 9:07 AM, Oct 12, 2012

James Wood High School is hoping their hallways will be filled with students in red Friday.

'Remember Everyone Deployed' day, also known as the 'RED' Out day.

Businesses, organizations and families all over the country participate regularly in 'RED' Out Fridays.

Friday, James Wood is joining in too.

Michael Onda is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Marine Corps.

Now, he's a business teacher at James Wood.

"It's supporting not only marines and sailors and soldiers and airmen that are deployed but also their families, they're supporting veterans, they're supporting wounded warriors as well as first responders," said Onda.

Onda served four tours overseas.

He says small things, just like wearing a certain color to work or school, in honor of troops means a lot to them.

So before you head out the door, think about adding a touch of red to your outfit.
