We have new information on a possible skate park in Winchester.
Folks gathered at the War Memorial building to talk about what kind of equipment they might get.
The Parks and Recreation director says, they've gotten a lot of requests from skaters in the area for a park.
They're in the midst of figuring out how much all of the equipment will cost.
Matt Paul is 18 years old, and he has been to all of the skate park meetings.
"Well I've skated for almost nine years now, and it's going to be a good thing for the community because kids always get hassled when they're on the streets, because we're not supposed to be in the streets boarding. We're not even supposed to be pushing on the streets at all. It's going to be a good place to learn and progress their skate boarding careers."
He says they already skate in the area of the proposed park, so he really hopes it happens.
