WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says trains will share a single track this weekend on portions of the red and orange lines, leading to delays.

Metro says the track work will begin Friday at 10 p.m. and continue through system closing on Sunday. Metro says red line trains will share a single track between Shady Grove and Twinbrook and between Rhode Island Avenue and Takoma. Customers traveling through either work zone should add 15 minutes to their travel time.

On the orange line, Metro says trains will share a single track between Ballston and West Falls Church and between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. Metro says customers traveling through either work zone should add 15 to 20 minutes to their travel time.
