Firefighters are battling two massive brush fires in Warren County.
The first is just East of Browntown. It quickly spread into Shenandoah National Park and jumped Skyline Drive. The fire in the national park includes about 300 acres. The northern third of Skyline Drive is closed.
Fire officials say, it could take up to a week to get it under control. Fire Chief Richard Mabie tells TV3, fire crews are being brought in from as far as Arkansas.
The second, smaller fire is in Linden. TV3 is getting reports from residents that some people are being evacuated from High Top Road on Blue Mountain. TV3 is still waiting for confirmation from fire officials on the scene.
