Frederick County Fire and Rescue says the fire on Massie Drive started in the attic.
The house needs a lot of repairs before the people who live there can move back in.
The cost of the repairs is expected to be somewhere near $100,000.
The fire started around 7 pm on Sunday December 9th at 103 Massie Drive.
Everyone made it out of the house safe before fire fighters got there.
However, the fire spread quickly and caused portions of the roof to collapse.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
