It looks more like a construction site then it does a baseball diamond, but once Yost Field is complete, the Cal Ripken Little League World Series will be ready for its first pitch.
Yost Field is home of world series, and the only site that will host games. The complex has been under construction for the past two weeks.
Once finished, the 18 thousdand dollar project will have bermuda grass, just like some big league parks, allowing for ideal playing condititons. Preperations are being made so fans will be able to enjoy the field, and never miss a moment of their home town team.
The money for the project is coming from old park equipment sold, which generated enough money to make the improvements.
The World Series will last from August 13 though the 20th, but Yost field will be avaible to the city of Winchester long after a World Series Champion is crowned.
