Kids Head To "Rain Forest Alive"

Updated: Mon 9:44 AM, Aug 20, 2012

Kids got up close and personal today with some cool critters.

The Samuels Public Library in Front Royal had more than just books today. They had reptiles.

The event is called "Rain Forest Alive."

They say the program is meant to get children excited to read about the creatures.

Nathanial Jacob is eleven years old and he loves animals.

He says he's been waiting for this day.

"I haven't seen a Camen before, and I have seen a full-grown boa constrictor before, I started counting the days even though it was like July," he said.

He says when he grows up he wants to have a farm with snakes and alligators.
