With heat waves, floods, and other emergencies possible in the area, the Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission is developing a new plan to deal with the aftermath of these disasters.
It's called the hazard mitigation plan, and it will help get money from FEMA for disasters if they happen in our area.
The plan is due this August, but they still want your input.
