UPDATE: Man suspected in New Year's Day murder in Cross Junction will be held without bond.
Bradley Scott Gregory appeared by video in Frederick County General District Court Tuesday afternoon.
Frederick County Commonwealth's Attorney Glenn Williamson says Gregory admitted to at least two police officers that he killed Michael Shirley.

Frederick County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a murder that happened early Sunday morning.
Captain John Heflin tells TV3 around 1:10 Sunday morning, dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call about a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputies responded to 1373 South Timber Ridge Road in Cross Junction.
The male subject was dead at the scene with an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies identified him as Michael Shirley of Berkeley Springs.
Also at the scene when deputies arrived was 27-year-old Bradley Scott Gregory of Winchester. He has been charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Gregory is being held without bond at the regional jail.
