Students in our area are getting ready to head to the White House.
Five Frederick County High School students are volunteering at the president's inauguration on Sunday.
The girls go to different schools but they're all a part of the same girl scout troop.
While they don't know what their duties at the inauguration will be, they're excited.
"We could be doing anything from being up close and helping with seating or being at a metro station giving directions," said James Wood High School Student Maddie Kliewer.
"Being a girl scout, you learn leadership respect and everything. I think I could try to help people and try to understand that they're getting ready and like, 'Oh I have to go here.' I would say, just calm down," said Millbrook High School Sophomore Amber Patrick.
The students leave early Sunday morning and they'll be spending the night in D.C before heading back to the area.
