One family in Winchester is not going to be sleeping in their beds Monday night.
Around 6:30 Monday, Winchester Fire and Rescue responded to a house near the intersection of Valley Avenue and Gerrard Street for a tree that fell on its roof. The tree went through the roof. A large branch with other limbs is laying in one of the bedrooms.
This is the first report of a tree falling on a house in the City of Winchester.
Another report of wind damage is in Stephens City. The siding of the home got ripped off.
