The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary and grand larceny in the 4000 block of Back Mountain Road between November 28 and 29, 2012.
The victim returned home from work to find the front door of the home had been forced open.
A Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun was removed from the residence.
A jewelry box and several drawers had been rummaged through but nothing else was reported missing.
