A big birthday celebration in the City of Winchester. A happy birthday goes out to Charles B. Rouss.
Rouss donated thousands of dollars to the City of Winchester. He helped fund construction of City Hall and multiple fire stations in the City. Each year, the City of Winchester celebrates Charles B. Rouss day to remember Rouss' generosity toward Winchester over a century ago.
In his honor, free cupcakes were handed out in Rouss City Hall on Monday. Guided tours were also given. There was also a wreath laying at the Rouss Family Mausoleum in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
