Frederick County leaders are hosting a demo Thursday for internet providers to demonstrate the speed and consistency of their internet services to businesses and citizens.

Frederick County's IT department decided that broadband internet improvements were needed. Service providers demonstrated the experience of high-speed internet connections.

Scottie White, says, he could use faster internet service.

"To go from page to page a little bit faster, linking videos, more or less just talking to people as far as chatting online," said Scottie. "The biggest thing is wireless. If you got wireless connection, then it's a little bit slower than actually having a cable linked."

Frederick County's IT department is hoping to provide a platform for all internet service providers to set up their equipment in the Information Technology department.
